I picked up my first DSLR camera when we were living overseas in Okinawa, Japan and I wanted to capture better travel photos. After moving back to the States and the birth of our first two children, I took my first photography class and that's when I fell in love with photography. Since then I have tried to strengthen my understanding of photography with even more classes, joining photography groups, and by clicking my camera as much as possible! I say "clicking is my life" because anytime I can be taking pictures, whether of families, natural landscapes, or wildlife, that is a good day in my book!
I love to share my passion with other families. My goal is to not only capture your image, but the emotions of each moment -even if it's not always perfect smiles and laughter. I am currently battling stage 4 colon cancer, so I am very aware every day is a gift and I think photography allows us to seize those memories to reflect upon in years to come.
I chose "Miles & Smiles" because I thought it was a fitting description of my life. As a military spouse, we have lived around the world, but we have always focused on finding joy in the area and experiences where we were stationed. Miles and miles traveled........millions of smiles along the way. Also, if you look closely at the logo you will see the Air Force E-3 AWACS, the plane my husband was assigned.

"Courney did such an amazing job photographing our whole family for our daughters 2nd birthday! Keeping a toddler focused and entertained is no small feat - and she did so well!! She captured images of our daughter that truly embody her personality and I am so grateful we worked with her!"
